Yunan mitolojisine Pollux’un ikizi Castor’dur. Ayrýca ikisi de Gemini, “ikizler” anlamýna gelen takýmyýldýzýnda bulunuyor. Bununla birlikte, gerçekte, Pollux tek yýldýz olup, Castor toplamda altý yýldýzýn olduðu üç adet çift yýldýz içerisindedir. Castor altý yýldýzlýk bir settir!
